Mohamed Abdel-Rahman

Dr Abdel-Rahman is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Ain Shams University. He obtained his BSc, MSc and PhD in Electrical Power Engineering in 1995, 1998 and 2000, respectively. Furthermore, he has been involved in the restructuring activities of the Egyptian Electricity sector in his capacity as consultant to the Egyptian Electricity Regulatory Agency. Dr Abdel-Rahman held the position of NEPAD Energy Advisor during the period 2009–2010. His research interests include energy economics and electricity sector markets design and operation.
