Bate Besong
Bate Besong taught African and English Literature at the University of Buea before his untimely death in March 2007. Dramaturg and poet, he authored several plays, including Requiem for the Last Kaiser and The Banquet. Among his collections of poetry are The Grains of Bobe Ngom Jua and Disgrace.
